A federal judge is demanding an explanation from state officials about a backlog in the number of newly registered voters who haven't been verified in time so they can vote in Florida's election. The judge ordered Gov. Rick Scott's top elections official, Secretary of State Ken Detzner, to have his elections division director, Maria Matthews, available to face questions. here
