NAACP issues Florida travel advisory, claiming ‘all-out attack’ on free speech, marginalized groups

Gaza Rally In Fort Lauderdale

Over 250 people gathered at the 
Fort Lauderdale Federal Courthouse 
on Aug. 2 to protest U.S. support for Israeli terrorism in Gaza. As the bombs continued to drop on the people of Gaza, people of South Florida joined together to stand in solidarity with Palestine and demand an end to U.S. aid to Israel. 
This was the third major rally for Palestine in South Florida
 in three weeks.

Florida Worst In Country For Pedestrians

According to a new report released by the 
National Complete Streets Coalition, 
Central Florida ranks as the most dangerous metropolitan region for walkers over the ten year period of 2003 – 2012 with the state of Florida taking first place in the nation.

The top four deadliest major metropolitan areas in the country for pedestrians are 
Central Florida, Tampa-St. Petersburg, Jacksonville and Miami-
Ft. Lauderdale
