Tampa Bay Young Republicans For Lyft And Uber

Members of the Tampa Bay Young Republicans say that the PTC opposes the companies in order to protect the taxi industry from competition. The ban, “violates conservative principles by limiting consumer's choice and impeding the free market to flourish." They feel the PTC is overexerting their power and incorrectly and unfairly attacking innovation, free enterprise and consumer choice,” here

We have to agree.

Lyft Driver Lisa Roberts On Local Cabbies

"Sorry these old cab drivers spent so much money, but people spent a lot of money on 8 tracks and DOS computers, which didn't stop technology or progress.Riders prefer Lyft because our cars smell better, we don't mind short rides, they don't have to argue with us about payment and most importantly, we don't leave them standing on a street in the middle of the night!"
Tampa Cabbie/Blogger Tim Fasano fires back here

Legal or not, Lyft is a fantastic service that is a necessity, especially in a city with Poor public transit like Tampa.
We continue to show the world that we are (What the late great Neil Rogers use to  call us) "A nose-picking town."

Tampa Cabbie Goes To War With Lyft, Uber And Bob Buckhorn

I  have lived the life for 19 years and
I will fight for my livelihood.
This war has just begun.
They are based out of Seattle and San Francisco. United and  Yellow were founded by local Tampons.

Bob Buckhorn - the mayor of Tampa. This cat is the one that allowed the food trucks into downtown Tampa, completely ignoring the restaurants that pay taxes and are located downtown. He justified it, in the same way he is Lyft, that in this economy we need jobs. True, what we need are jobs that people can live off of. You are making beggars out of people Buckhorn. I guess  its good your wife had a good job before you got elected because you would have been flying a sign like the rest of the bums on the streets. No offense to bums. At least they work
and struggle every day.
The hardest thing you ever did was take your mutt to the dog park.
