2024 Sydney Eastman Courage winner: Glen Eich
This time around the sun I feel honored to present a Syd Eastman Award. Honored that the founder, Julio Rodriguez, asked me to present this to someone — naturally, there were multiple people I had in mind. Been out of the loop for a while.
I would like to present this year’s Award to none other the Glen Eich. A true legend among power to the people, Glen supports progressive values the same way as Syd once did, and channels this support through keeping the Ybor City Stogie alive as a regular writer. I miss Glen’s company at NY Pizza when I would frequent the place with Julio. I still have the keffiyeh Glen gave me years ago. Thank you, sir.
