A cornerstone of Gov. Ron DeSantis’  2024 presidential campaign is a slate of new conservative laws, but judges are calling those same laws unconstitutional.

“My first reaction is that Governor DeSantis doesn’t really care,” State Rep. Anna Eskamani said. “I think really for DeSantis, it’s just that initial headline that matters for him.”

Maxwell Frost adds star power to rally for ‘Freedom to Learn’


The nation’s largest teachers’ union is having its annual meeting in Orlando and a rally planned for Wednesday promises a rebuke to the message at last week’s Moms for Liberty convention in Philadelphia.

The National Education Association (NEA), led by Gen Z’s first member of Congress, Maxwell Frost, is rallying for “Freedom to Learn” as these moms have stormed onto the national stage demanding a say in limiting how sensitive issues can be discussed at school.

During hot weather, your body struggles to keep itself cool, and if you become dehydrated, you can get sick. Heat-related illnesses include heat cramps, heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

Infants, young children, people 65 and older, people who are overweight, people who overexert during work or exercise, and people who are physically ill, including those with heart disease or high blood pressure, are most at risk for heat-related illnesses, according to the CDC.

As AAA prepares to rescue more than 393,000 drivers nationwide with car trouble this Independence Day weekend, it will also provide a free service in effort to keep impaired drivers off the road. The Auto Club Group is activating its Tow to Go program in Florida and other select states , offering a safe ride for would-be impaired drivers and their vehicles.....MORE

  • Free and available to AAA members and non-members.

  • Appointments cannot be scheduled in advance to use Tow to Go. It is designed as a safety net for those that did not plan ahead. Always choose a designated driver before celebrating.
  • In some situations, AAA may need to make other arrangements to get an impaired individual a safe ride home.
  • Tow to Go may not be available in rural areas or during severe weather conditions.
