Justice For Andrew Joseph III

This is your pledge and petition to divest from the Florida State Fairgrounds for justice. In 2014, Andrew Joseph III, who was 14, was killed due to negligence from both the Florida State Fairground and the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office. As such, we will not support the fairgrounds with our dollars until they at least follow through with our expected demands.

Justice For Andrew Joseph III

Round 1 of accountability calls. Since 2014, the Joseph family has been fighting for justice for the tragic loss of their son Andrew Joseph III. We need to work together to continue bogging down the elected officials and leaders who have a say. I know it may be tough when one of those officials is usually a friend and ally.

However, Commissioner Les Miller serves on the Board of Directors and has the ability to be a voice for the Joseph family and hold the fair accountable. Do not allow party-line interfere with achieving justice. Please review this Google Form for more details, his phone # and a sample script and PLEASE be an active participant in justice. Questions? Pee Wee's story takes on an emotional and challenging topic—criminalization of black children —and is dedicated to helping foster an informed and rational dialogue on the issue. It looks behind the fear, hype and politics that polarize people into emotionally charged camps, and takes a penetrating look at the devastating impact of mass criminalization on our communities.

Q&A with Andrew and Deanna Joseph will follow the screening. We are really excited to share this film with you! {Light refreshments will be served}.

Alan Grayson: Justice For Andrew Joseph III

In February of 2014, 14-year-old Andrew Joseph III from Riverview was killed as he tired to cross Interstate 4 on foot after he was ejected from the Florida State Fair
 in Tampa.
Alan Grayson met with Andrew’s parents  in Tampa and said he would pursue the Justice Department to investigate the tragic loss of life. On Thursday, Grayson followed up on his promise, penning a letter to U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch calling for both
a Justice and FBI investigation. here
----------
Grayson notes that this is the same Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office that provided security for the 2012 Republican National Convention and the 2009 Super Bowl. “It seems unfortunate that the same force could not provide adequate security for ‘Student Day. “I’m going to be honest with you – the idea of taking a 14-year-old boy, dropping him off out of a car from where he was, with no practical way to get back in touch with people, to get to any place of safety, seems like inappropriate conduct,” Grayson told reporters inside the Bricks of Ybor.

Andrew Joseph Foundation

"While the rest of the world engages in celebratory interactions, we continue to stand at the threshold of the unknown. We stand within a story of a little boy who was killed when he engaged in a school sponsored fair day and suffered a tragic death. Andrew Joseph, III will never see or celebrate days or seasons such as today. As parents to this child, before us lies a new year, and we are going forward to take possession of it. Who knows what we will find? What new experiences or changes will come our way? What new needs will arise? In spite of the uncertainty before us, we are fully engaged and committed to execute the plan for Justice and Accountability for our 14 year old son Andrew Joseph, III killed in Tampa, Florida on 2/7/14. From the beginning of the year to its end it will forever be our mission to improve the conditions of life for our children, no child should die a senseless death."
