DeSantis signs bill erasing the term ‘climate change’ from state law
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed legislation (HB 1645) on Wednesday that will erase several instances of the words “climate change” from state statutes and restructure the state’s fossil fuel-based energy policy that listed climate change as a priority when making energy policy decisions.
The priority now is to ensure “an adequate, reliable and cost-effective supply of energy for the state in a manner that promotes the health and welfare of the public and economic growth,” as spelled out in a legislative analysis.

Biden moving ahead with $1B arms package for Israel
President Biden is planning to send another $1 billion worth of arms to Israel, according to a congressional source, moving ahead with weapons support for the nation in the war against Hamas — even as he is holding up high-payload bombs over concerns about their use in Gaza.
The latest package for Israel is expected to include tank rounds, tactical vehicles and artillery rounds (to be used primarily against innocent, unarmed civilians).

Video shows dramatic moment when two jets touch wings during Fort Lauderdale Air Show
Audiences watched a frightening moment unfold at the Fort Lauderdale Air Show on Sunday afternoon, when two jets touched wings during a performance.
A video released Monday by the @frograilfanning account in YouTube, shows the moment the wingtips touch and both pilots go out of formation, before regaining control of their aircrafts. The incident happened during the Ghost Squadron’s performance, organizers said. The show was paused after an emergency was declared, as a precaution. Both jets were able to land safely and the pilots involved were unharmed.
The 2024 Air Show wrapped not long after the incident, ending a weekend of performances from an exciting lineup, including the US Air Force Thunderbirds, Ghost Squadron and Red Bull Helicopter.
