SHRIMP DOCKS KITTY RESCUE PROJECT

Made good progress on the kitty condo yesterday. Stopped by the docks today to check on everyone and a fisherman told me of a crazy man that worked out there a year ago that was threatening to kill the cats with a crowbar! It is no wonder why my blood pressure is high between this and the stories in the news. It just drives me to do what I am doing...I just wish it could be done sooner.

In the meantime, Houlihan is adjusting well at my home and Diesel and Bobby T have become friends...here

Local Hero Officer Christina Ammons

I would like to thank the Florida Voices for Animals group for inviting me to be a guest of honor at their 22nd annual "HAVE A HEART FOR ANIMALS" meeting. I was awarded the "Animal Hero Award" and the group made a donation to the Shrimp Docks Kitty Rescue Project which was awesome! I met a great group of people who are completely dedicated to preventing the exploitation and abuse of all animals. This group is also involved with activities which benefit children and others in need as well as the betterment of our environment . I had a wonderful time and want to thank this great group of individuals for all that they do! here

SHRIMP DOCKS KITTY RESCUE PROJECT

Houlihan, the kitty who was dumped at or near the shrimp docks, went to the vet today for her second shot to treat her rodent ulcer. While there, I asked the vet to check a lump behind her right ear. Turns out some evil person shot a pellet into her head! I can't even begin to say what I want to say so we will leave it at thank you as always to Doctor Waldy and staff at the Ruskin Animal Hospital! here

Update on the Kitty Kondo....the slab has been poured and Jesus Cortes of JCCORTES LLC., did a wonderful job! I would recommend Jesus to anyone in need of concrete, concrete block or external house painting work. Here is his number, (813)781-7593. Tell him the crazy cat lady sent ya. Thank you Jesus and assistant.

SHRIMP DOCKS KITTY RESCUE PROJECT

Hello,
My name is Christina and I am a law enforcement officer in Tampa Florida. Several months ago I discovered a colony of over forty cats and small kittens in an area where I work. I learned that some people feed the cats when they are around but that is not constant because they are fisherman on shrimp boats. Although their intentions are noble, I have never seen fresh water put out for the cats so they drink out of rain puddles in the parking lot when available. As a result, everyone is dehydrated and almost all suffer from some sort of cold or upper respiratory infection. I am seeking assistance of any kind to help me with food and other necessities to carry this out. Most will need veterinarian treatment as well. Anything will help and I thank you for taking the time to listen to their story!
