Hillsborough County Democratic Party Exposed (Updated)

The DEC has sent out numerous flyers for candidates promoting their events. NONE of their flyers come with the disclaimer that they aren't endorsed by the DEC. I went to one DEC meeting where they even let a candidate put her flyer in the presentation and was projected
 for all to see.

"So, imagine my anger to see the ONLY flyer to come with a disclaimer of not being endorsed is the flyer of the only black woman in her race. The DEC has been playing favorites from the start and this further proves. The resiliency of a black woman is a remarkable thing though. So I'm sure this won't set Sky back." Jae Pass

"Ione Townsend can you please address this and show examples of all the other candidate's flyers where this same disclaimer is applied?" Beth Eriksen Shoup

The Hypocrisy Of The Hillsborough County Democratic Party

The Islamic Society of Tampa Bay was kind enough to host a debate.
-----
Republican Lawrence McClure, Democrat Jose Vazquez, Libertarian Bryan Zemina and non-party-affiliated Ahmad Saadaldin  are running in the election Dec. 19 to select a successor to Dan Raulerson, who stepped down from the seat in August due to health problems.
-----
The letter above was sent to the League of Women Voters for their audacity of hosting the debate at a mosque.
-----
The writer?  CL Townsend, husband of the DEC Chair Ione Townsend and Jose Vazquez's campaign treasurer.
-----
"The more my community gets involved, the more pushback we get. In. every. freaking. way. Then Democrats come kissing ass for money and votes and asking people to run as D's. And you wonder why some wont? The entire party leadership right now should be ashamed."

Ione Townsend's New Book

We hear that the Hillsborough County Democratic Party Chair  Ione Townsend is writing a new book entitled

"Destroying Your Local Party in the Course of 30 Minutes: A How to Guide Based on Deceit, Disenfranchisement and Being the Patsy to a Nasty, Bitter Malcontent with a Personal Axe to Grind"

Local Dem. Bryan Farris is thinking of writing a companion piece entitled,

"I'm Outta Here: One Man's Story of Being Tired of Trying to Help an Organization that Refuses to Help Themselves."

Democratic Party Threatening To Throw Chris Cano Out

Because he continues to advocate for Bernie and expose the corruption of Hillary Clinton. They want him to remove all his Facebook post that can be construed as negative towards Clinton. They threatened to have him removed from the party because he was an undecided Democrat on National Television. They have attempted to have him removed from all his party leadership positions because he will not fall in line with the corrupt Democratic Establishment.

"Thanks to the Party Leaders who continue to have my back. I have consulted my legal counsel and until Clinton is the actual nominee, I am in no violation of my Democratic Loyalty Oath by continuing to expose her corruption. I do not support nor will support Donald Trump. And, I will not be bullied and censored by the corrupt Democratic Party Establishment. So please feel free to let her know how you feel about these threats. Always Your Voice." Chis Cano

Hillsborough County Dems New Leader Ione Townsend

The Hillsborough County Democratic Party has been known for a long time to take a backseat to the Hillsborough Republican Party regarding fundraising and getting people elected, something that Townsend vowed to attempt to end on her watch. here
----------
Elizabeth Belcher announced in November that she would be stepping down.
She said “It is outrageous that false allegations, accusations and false claims floating around here in the DEC. We are destroying
ourselves from the inside.”

The Hillsborough Democratic Party Sucks

Why, in a county where Democrat voters outnumber Republican voters by about 60,000, is it a foregone conclusion Republicans control the county's governing body?

The Hillsborough Democratic party has long struggled at the basic elements of organization for local races, like fundraising and grooming candidates. Friday marked the end of qualifying for local elections, finalizing the field of candidates vying for four open seats on the Hillsborough County Commission. And, yet again, it appears unlikely Democrats will pick up a majority on the seven-member commission, where they now hold two seats and would be lucky to pick up another.

One of the races ended Friday, as incumbent Republican Ken Hagan drew no opposition in countywide District 5.
One other race will be decided without Democrat involvement, as three Republicans and a write-in candidate are vying for eastern Hillsborough's District 4, vacated by term-limited
Al Higginbotham. Higginbotham, a Republican, instead is running in countywide District 7 and has a huge fundraising lead over his challengers. here
