Bought-and-Paid-For Patrick Murphy
When the Supreme
Court ruled in favor of “Citizens United” in 2010, they opened the
floodgates for Wall Street millionaires and billionaires to stupefy the voters,
with a never-ending barrage of misleading information and outlandish attacks. I
faced it in my previous races for the House, and we are already seeing Big Money
get ready to attack me in next year’s election.
----------
The worst part?
My primary opponent, Patrick Murphy, is a tool of these very same Super PACs. He
was one of the biggest recipients in the country of Super PAC help in 2012. Now,
Bought-and-Paid-For Patrick is refusing even to discuss an agreement to keep
special-interest Big Money lies out of the 2016 Florida Senate race.

Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commissioner Wants To Kill Our Panthers
FWC Commissioner Liesa Priddy and other business landowners are asking for what’s called an “incidental take permit.” The permit would protect them from civil or criminal penalties under the Endangered Species Act. That involves killing, hunting, shooting or trapping any threatened or endangered species. It also accounts for altering an animal’s natural habitat to the point it would not be able to reproduce or nest there. here

Patrick Murphy Throws Hillary To The Wolves
On May 8, 2014, the Republicans
rammed through a resolution to establish the Select Committee on the Events
Surrounding the 2012 Terrorist Attack in Benghazi, a committee specifically
designed as a witch hunt to drag Hillary Clinton through the mud and sully her
name before the 2016 presidential election. Every single Republican voted
YES (225 of them) and 186 Democrats voted NO. Seven of the worst Democrats
in the House-- the ones who consistently vote for Boehner's agenda day in and
day out-- crossed the aisle and voted with the Republicans. Patrick Murphy was one of them. here

United for Care Upset at Pasco County Decision to Pass Moratorium
In a unanimous decision, Pasco County commissioners voted to place a yearlong
moratorium on medical marijuana. United for Care, the organization leading the
charge in collecting petitions to put the decision of a comprehensive medical
marijuana law before the voters in 2016 understands the difference between a ban
and moratorium, but still finds the moratorium disappointing.
“We hoped that the commissioners of Pasco County would consider the needs of
the patients and the detriment this yearlong moratorium could have on their
citizens. Keeping medical marijuana treatment centers out of the county is not
an effective way to bring safe access to their citizens,” said Ben Pollara,
Campaign Manager of United the Care.
United for Care takes the position
that local communities must decide what is best for themselves, but should do so
in a way as to allow residents safe access to medical marijuana once it is
available.
Mr. Pollara continued, “While we understand that local community leaders need
to have discussions regarding new policies and do what’s best for their
citizens, I think they’re jumping the gun. The commissioners are going to really
hurt people who are in desperate need of relief. Hopefully they will reconsider
and lift the moratorium soon."

UNITED FOR CARE MEETS 100% GOAL
According to the Division of Elections website 73, 713 petitions have been
verified. That’s 5,000 over the required amount to trigger the Supreme Court
review.
Campaign Manager, Ben Pollara stated, “We are thrilled at this timely
accomplishment. This is the first major milestone to bringing medical marijuana
before the Florida voters in November 2016. In the next election, voters will
succeed where their elected have failed them, and pass a comprehensive,
compassionate medical marijuana law to serve the hundreds of thousands of sick
and suffering people who are desperate for relief in our state. Without our
volunteer efforts we would not be so well positioned to make the ballot in
December.”
In order to be placed on the ballot United for Care needs the Supreme Court
approval and to collect 683,149 valid petitions by Feb 1, 2016. Last election,
ballot placement was not approved for the dedicated team until the final
hour.
----------
Campaign Chairman, John Morgan, stated, “Compassion is coming in 2016! Tallahassee is broken, but I have faith in the people of Florida. We will win and hundreds of thousands will benefit as a result.”

Hillsborough County Beware - Jim Norman Is Back
The strong conservative
says, he will file to run for a seat on the County Commission where he was a player for nearly two decades.
-----------
Some of Mr. Norman's Highlights
Joined the vote to ban county government from even acknowledging gay pride events. He said no to health benefits for unmarried couples including same-sex partners.
"I see this as (leading) to gay marriage next," Norman said in 2004. "This is not going to be San Francisco east."
----------
He angered black leaders with a proclamation honoring Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee.
----------
He blasted Obamacare as "a socialism takeover."
----------
He hung out in Vegas with lobbyist who appeared frequently before the commission.
----------
A developer-friendly commissioner he was owned by Ralph Hughes owner of the Cast-Crete precast concrete business in Seffner. He pushed hard to rename the county's prestigious award for residents who show moral courage in standing up to government for his friend and benefactor.
"I found very quickly that Ralph expected something back from me if I was going to be one of his chosen candidates," Rose Ferlita

"Payola"
La Gaceta
----------
"He won his race but did not fare well in public opinion. Public office is a public trust.Obviously, that didn't sink in to Jim Norman."
Jan Platt
----------
"He's been carrying the water for developers for all his 18 years on the commission. He's as much responsible for the condition Hillsborough County is in today — the transportation, the sprawl mess we're in."
Pat Kemp
----------
"Spare us. This clown is one of the reasons Hillsborough County moved backwards for years. Deny him the right to ever serve in public office again. Please." Susan Smith
