DeSantis, wife to sit down with NBC’s Dasha Burns in first network interview
Republican presidential candidate Ron DeSantis and his wife, Casey DeSantis, will sit down with NBC’s Dasha Burns for the candidate’s first network interview during his campaign, the network announced Sunday.
NBC News said the interview will air Monday on the “Today” show and “NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt.” Additional segments will also air throughout the day on MSNBC and NBC News NOW, according to the network.

Florida Democrats vow to ‘Take Back Florida’

Florida Democrats kicked off a new $1 million investment in voter registration, launching a statewide “Take Back Florida Tour” on Wednesday.
The goal of the tour, Democrats shared, is to close the gap in voter registration between the Republican and Democratic parties, which has only widened since Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis handily won his bid for re-election as governor last year, besting Democratic opponent Charlie Crist (a former Republican himself) by a long shot.

Asked about people who purported to be supporters of his who had “flags that said DeSantis 2024” and “Nazi, swastika flags,” DeSantis said he didn’t “think that they are” his supporters, before suggesting that the display was part of an “operation” against him.
