"Strangely enough, Tampa airport is actually proud and boasting about becoming a business partner of the vile, murderous, criminal, and repressive Castro dictatorship. Go figure.".....Alberto de la Cruz
Castro sounds just like our Republicans. Go figure.

When you consider what the Republicans have done and are doing to America - the poor, the middle class, the sick, the old, education, women (I could go on) Castro might come out a bit ahead in a popularity poll.
At least Cubans have a first rate FREE health care program, and irrespective of your class, your income or where you live, education at every level is free:
School meals and uniforms are free.
There is a strict maximum of 25 children per primary-school class, many of which have as few as 20.
The primary-school curriculum includes dance and gardening, lessons on health and hygiene, and Cuban revolutionary history.
Many schools open at 6.30 am and close 12 hours later, providing free morning and after-school care for working parents with no extended family.
"Mobile teachers" are deployed to homes if children are unable to come to school.
Over half of Cuba's 150,000 teachers have a master's degree.
There are now 23 medical schools in Cuba, up from only 3 in 1959 before the Cuban Revolution.
And, the Republicans have done what for the betterment of the people in this country?
Babalu bloggers hate the Cuban people for not rising up against Castro and they hate the exiles that return to the island because they undermine the embargo. In other words, the only Cubans that they tolerate are those who think exactly like them. Everyone else is a Castroite.
I will reiterate what I wrote earlier: What have the Republicans done for health, education, and the working class in America?
The main point these Tea Bagger Babaluns keep missing is that the embargo does not work - has never worked - and shows no signs of ever working.
It is way past time to dump the embargo and open up free trade and commerce with Cuba. The Cuban people are not stupid and by all accounts are a warm, friendly people who would love to sit down with American visitors to exchange ideas.
Many well educated people have said that would be the best way to introduce democracy to this island nation.
And, they love baseball.
One last thought Stogie: I chose not to respond on the Babaluny blog because, after reading their responses to you, it became apparent that it would be useless. As George Carlin once said, "Never argue with an idiot. They bring you down to their level and beat you with experience."
Keep up the good work my friend.
