One of the cornerstones of this country is the First Amendment guarantee of a free press, and one of the cornerstones of fascism is control of the media.
Donald Trump put the nation on notice today that he is prepared to ignore the First Amendment and control the media — specifically, of course, media critical of him — in complete contravention of the vow of any government official to uphold the Constitution.
