Bump stock ruling could trigger booming rapid-fire marketplace


If the Supreme Court rules that bump stocks aren’t machine guns later this summer, it could quickly open an unfettered marketplace of newer, more powerful rapid-fire devices.

The Trump administration, in a rare break from gun rights groups, quickly banned bump stocks after the 2017 mass shooting at a Las Vegas concert that was the deadliest in U.S. history. In the ensuing years, gun rights groups challenged the underlying rationale that bump stocks are effectively machine guns — culminating in a legal fight now before the Supreme Court.

Tampa group demands charges be dropped for the USF 13


A Tampa group is holding a rally Tuesday to show support for the 13 people arrested during a pro-Palestinian demonstration last month at the University of South Florida.  

The Tampa Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression is holdiing a demonostration today outside the Hillsborough County Courthouse, demanding charges be dropped against the 13 people arrested at USf during pro-Palestinian protests that were deemed “not peaceful” by law enforcement.

Biden addressed dozens of guests gathered in the Rose Garden, where he rejected claims that Israel is carrying out genocide in Gaza, criticized an International Criminal Court request for a warrant against Israeli leaders for war crimes and pledged support for Israel in its war against Hamas.

Supreme Court Refuses Maryland School Case Challenging Policy To Hide Students’ ‘Gender Identity’ From Parents


The Supreme Court declined Monday to consider a case challenging a Maryland school district policy that hides information from parents about their child’s “gender identity.”

Under the Montgomery County Board of Education’s guidelines, parents deemed “unsupportive” will not be told if their child is undergoing a “gender transition” at school, according to court filings.
