Across Tampa Bay, a community effort to provide the facts on Florida's new immigration law

St. Petersburg-based immigration attorney Adriana Dinis has had a busy summer.

Dinis, co-owner of the Immigration Law Group of Florida has crisscrossed the Tampa Bay region giving pro bono presentations to non-profit and community groups about Senate Bill 1718, Florida’s new law on undocumented immigrants.

Teachers in Pinellas County say they're scrambling to prepare a new AP Psychology curriculum

Teachers in Pinellas County are preparing for school to start on Thursday but, before students come into their classrooms, some educators who teach AP Psychology say they’re having to revamp their curriculum at the last minute.

The problem comes because of confusion over whether the State Board of Education would allow AP Psychology to be taught in its entirety, which would include discussions over gender and sexual orientation.

Black market vaping products could be laced with fentanyl, experts warn

Central Florida smoke shop owners are on alert after hearing about black-market vaping products from China that could be laced with fentanyl.

The vaping products look harmless, but according to the Florida Retail Federation, they’re considered dangerous and illegal. CEO Scott Shalley explains, "It’s a great threat to our youth and these are products that have not undergone any FDA scrutiny. No testing and no safety mechanism."
