Five Cars Hit Man On I4
Only One Stops To Report Accident
Investigators said Roig was in dark clothing as he crossed I-4's westbound lanes from the south and was hit by a car in the center lane. The impact sent him into a 2004 Ford Taurus in the left lane, Coggins said. That collision pushed him back into the center lane, where he was hit by a third car and landed on the roadway. He was hit by two more cars. The Taurus' driver, Alexander Rascionato, 33, of Tampa, stopped to report the accident. The third car likely has damage to its front. The fourth and fifth likely have damage to the undercarriage........here

Hillsborough County Voters Choose Transit Over New Stadium

No wait, sorry it was St. Louis!
-----
Supporters of the stadium poured hundreds of thousands of dollars into an ad campaign for the stadium, including visits by national soccer figures and TV and billboard ads.
-----
Opponents spent little money against Proposition 2, but a number of prominent officials and activists vocally opposed the measure, arguing that it shouldn’t be a priority for a city facing economic and public safety issues, and that a team wasn’t likely to benefit lower-income residents or neighborhoods. here

The Stogie Is Full Of BS

According to a number of e-mails we have received after our posts predicting the demise of Establishment Democrats.
-----
Lets Review
Fact: The GOP has ruled Florida for 20 years.  Despite more registered Democrats than Republicans, the balance of power in government doesn't even come close. Source

Fact:
Governors in the US
33 Republicans, 16 Democrats, and 1 independent. Source
-----
Fact:
The GOP controls all 3 branches of federal government.
-----
Fact:
In 1972, Democrats registered in Florida 69%
and 3% other.
In 2016, Democrats registered 38%
and 26% other.
Your voters are leaving your party.
Dem-Exit.
-----
Whatever you guys are doing doesn't  seem to be working, I would try something else.
-----
So before you start telling us we are full of shit I would check the facts. But you guys are like right wing republicans, you don't care about facts!

The Stogie Has A Right Wing Infestation: Aaron Eel

Highlights
On Howard Dean...
"I can't believe that people are still fooled by this guy. Oh, well.... 33 million white people voted a nigger into the White House, so I guess anything's possible."

On Mr. River Alan Wright...
"So he died in hospice and he had a "life's partner". LOL....!! WHO CARES!! I know that you people are totally against the 2nd Amendment. So tell me... if I taught my child to play Russian roulette with a loaded handgun and he blew his head off one day, would you feel sorry for him? Or ME?? That's exactly the way I feel about your "dear departed friend. There, now... who says that we can't understand each other?"

On Democracy In The Crescent City...
The blacks must be slapped back down so they will know their place. They aren't civilized. They don't know the meaning of civility or rules or protocol. Nor do they know the meaning of "Get down on the ground NOW and place your hands behind your back". They are like children in a grown-up world. Just like Thomas Jefferson said. Blacks: Nature's clowns. Until they get violent.

On Florida Family Arrested Over Baggy Pants...
"Blacks, no doubt. He was most likely using his baggy pants to conceal stolen merchandise. That or a gun. And notice too how the blacks will constantly stretch the truth concerning the authorities and their disposition and numbers. Oh well, you know how niggers lie"

On Rick Scott's Florida...
"The "right wing media"...??? LOL...!!! You mean the same people who never report black-on-white crime, yet fervently report coast to coast for months on Tawana Brawley's big racist lie? The only place that you'll learn about black on white crime is from the news service in the city where it happened. It never goes national and you know it! "Right wing media".. I only wish it were, since the first thing they'd do would be to see that placed like this were shut down."

On Rick Scott worst enemy of Black Floridians...
"Good. I'm glad to hear that Scott did this. The 19th and 20th centuries are over, people. Blacks still get far too many handouts and breaks these days. And all for one reason... because of the color of their skin! I thought you lefties were supposed to be against that sort of thing."

On Tampa Bay Homeless...
"Funny isn't it, how all of these homeless liberals suddenly believe in God when they need your hand-out?"

On Tampa Hillsborough Homeless Initiative...
"Most of these people are LAZY. I've offered many of them jobs after listening to their spiels at reds lights. Not a single one has ever showed up the next morning ready to work. And for the rest of them who DO want to work but can't find a job, you have only to look as far as Washington DC, the home of your great black father. It's his recession, you know."

 On God, Guns And Guts...
That sign's been there for decades. Since the early 70s at least. And every word is the truth. Look what we got now in America since YOU PEOPLE began to exert your political influence... a record high divorce rate.. a record high teen suicide rate... kids who don't know what sex they're supposed to be... school shootings..... young girls who think that food is some kind of enemy... a race of people who hate you because you've spent the last 50 years telling them that all of their problems are Whitey's fault.... a new psychotic killer every week. We never had ANY of these problems when that sign signified the law of the land. I know... I was THERE. So you can't tell ME anything! Because I've seen both worlds. While you...? You've only seen your 'grief councilor'.
Your liberal idealism is a FAILURE. But not to worry... you can always blame it on President Bush.....

The Soho Saloon In Tampa

Our Backwards City Council At It Again
The Soho Saloon is suing the city of Tampa over a City Council vote to deny it a permit to pour mixed drinks along with beer and wine. City Council member Mary Mulhern moved for denial based on the saloon's request to the city to waive three rules:
One requires 35 parking spaces, not the 16 the bar has. If this was the case in cities like New Orleans, Menphis or our own Ybor City then none of them would serve alcohol. What does she want a chain to come and pave half a city block for parking and take all the charm out of the area. Arn't they always telling us not to drink and drive? There are always plenty of cabs around and HART #4 comes right by this place.   Another requires a city waiver when there are residences within 1,000 feet (the closest home is 33 feet away). The third requires a similar waiver when there are other stores, restaurants or bars selling alcohol within 1,000 feet (there are 17).  The saloon is surrounded by bars, including MacDinton's Irish Pub across the street. Why is ok for them but not this place?

Why do i keep supporting Ms. Mulhern?

Rick Scott's Pipeline

There are three major energy companies in Florida, which have formed a partnership to build a 474 mile underground natural gas pipeline, from Alabama and Georgia to a hub south of Orlando. The underground pipeline will be a joint venture owned by Spectra Energy (59.5 percent), Florida Power & Light parent NextEra Energy (33 percent), and Duke Energy (7.5 percent). here
----------
During Scott’s first term, the governor acquired substantial investments in the natural gas industry. His holdings included stock in Spectra Energy, and more than two-dozen companies that produce and transport natural gas in different Florida counties. It appears that Scott owns a percentage in all the major natural gas pipelines in the state of Florida.

2020 Election Quick Reference

I have compiled a list of candidates running in federal, state and county elections that will appear on the ballots in Hillsborough County. I thought this list might be of help to those who want to research the qualifications and viewpoints of the candidates before entering the voting booth. I have begun adding links to the candidate's campaign website, facebook page or twitter account as I find them. Just click on a candidate's name if you see that it is color highlighted. When I can finish adding links to the complete page, I will repost this article. For now though, I thought it would be a good place to start.
