Florida governor Ron DeSantis is expected to officially launch his presidential campaign any day now, and he recently signed legislation pandering to a national conservative audience. Unfortunately for the state of Florida, the legislation will wreck our economy, and business leaders are already sounding the alarm bells about how this is going to hurt everyone in the state. The bill restricts immigration into Florida, which is a vital part of our workforce, but you can see why a national candidate on the Republican side would do this to gain votes.
