Florida Berner Victories

Our members mobilized to help
Monique Worrell win a tight race against death penalty proponents and candidates backed by corporate law firms for Orange-Osceola County State Attorney. Endorsed by Bernie Sanders, her win is a part of our national strategy to elect progressive prosecutors and transform our broken criminal justice system.

Our members also propelled Eliseo Santana, who ran on a platform of reallocating law enforcement funds to community services, to victory in the Democratic primary for Pinellas County Sheriff. Santana will face off against a pro-Trump, Rick Scott appointed incumbent in November’s election, and he needs our continued support.

We also helped political newcomer
Jack Porter unseat the sitting establishment City Commissioner in a tough race. Alongside our members, Porter is ready to take on Tallahassee’s special interest machine to fight corruption in city hall.

Chad Albritton is headed for a run off in November for Casselberry City Commissioner Seat #4 thanks to our GOTV efforts. Chad ran on a platform to implement the Green New Deal in his community because change always comes from the bottom-up!
