Dear Stogie friends,
Please make it out on March 21st, 11am-3pm, to one of Julio’s favorites in all of Ybor, the Columbia Restaurant, where his own father once worked. Here is a message from his daughter, Gaby:
“Join us at the famed Columbia Restaurant to pay tribute to Julio Rodriguez, aka the Ybor City Stogie.
We'll be feasting on some of the Stogie's favorite foods in one of his favorite places, the Siboney Room. The Columbia held a special place in his heart, as it employed his father for 40 years, and served as his first job as a busboy, then bartender.
Come and go as you please from 11-3, and please bring a guest. The more, the merrier, as Julio enjoyed nothing more than a gathering of friends over excellent food and libations.
¡Viva la revolución! Stogie forever!

With you in solidarity,
Asher

Daughter? really step daughter this woman did not have the decency to even contact his family to see where Julio's body is . She said she wanted no part of his cremation and now she is throwing a party to celebrate him but has yett to know where his ashes are.Shame on her don't let her fool any of you she did not want the responsibility of looking out for him. Julio passed away on Friday and she did not have anyone check on him until Monday when the office manager found him.So do not let this woman fool any of you. His mother and 2 sister were the ones to fulfill his last wishes.A friend
