During a live session on Twitter this week, Republican Congressman Matt Gaetz admitted that the goal of impeaching President Biden wouldn't be to actually impeach him - it would be to set a "stage" for the American people to see him on trial. In other words, the whole thing would be for show in a feeble attempt to tarnish Biden before next year's election. It sounds an awful lot like those "political persecutions" Republicans have been railing against all year, as Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains.
