Maura Cruz Lanz is wrong about the homeless

Florida GOP Maura Cruz Lanz who has many, many apartments said
---
“I have met with many homeless people — some of them really just want to stay homeless, they do not want housing, they
don’t want anything.”
---
Ms. Lanz, I have been taking pictures of the local homeless for almost 20 years and I can count on one hand the people that
have told me that.
---
Please don't confuse those homeless with what we are about to experience
because of evictions.

District 3 Candidate Gwen Myers On The Homeless

“We know that the Superbowl will be here in a couple of months, and we’re going to dress up Tampa, but we just can’t dress it up for short period. We must make sure that we help our homeless population throughout the year. We must address this issue…We must make homelessness, a top issue here in Hillsborough County.” HERE

Tampa sets up tent city

City of Tampa is establishing a tent city that will allow up to 100 homeless people to shelter in place. HERE

It cost $120,000 to run a temporary homeless camp for 30 days? At a better price they could  keep it permanently.

Thank You Orlando Gudes

Attending VM Ybor's Neighborhood Association Meeting to speak on homelessness within the City and a few
of my plans.
I'd like to add another Homeless Liaison to the staff, purchase Mobile Showers and Restrooms to provide reliable sanitation and basic services to homeless individuals and build a Transitional Storage Center that provides clean bins for homeless individuals and family
to store their belongings.
None of the above were approved in the City's Budget, but I will continue to fight to provide those well deserved services
 to our community. HERE
