21 Florida Newspapers - Vote NO on Amendment 2

Twenty-one newspapers from around the state have come hard against Florida's Amendment 2, the so-called "Marriage Protection" Amendment. These papers all realize the danger of the amendment's vague language and far-reaching impacts..........here
No newspapers have come out in support of Amendment 2.

Early Miami Voting Suggests Florida May Go Democratic

With early voting for president in heavily Democratic Miami-Dade County running ahead of 2004, there’s a good chance Florida could end up in the Obama column Nov. 4th. Of the 100 Miami area early voters emerging from the polling places interviewed by this reporter over the past two days, 53 identified themselves as Democrats and 15 as independents while only 32 said they are Republicans..........here

Skip The Election. Survey 100 Tampa Residents Instead

The election of 2008, as in 2004, may well be determined by the average opinions of a handful of residents in Hillsborough County, Florida. Among the “swing states” those up for grabs, is Florida with its 27 electoral votes. Those votes were awarded to the Republicans last time by an overtly partisan Secretary of State, Katherine Harris, and an activist, equally partisan, United Supreme Court........here
