"In the Congo armed militias use rape as a tool of war. Militias are funded by the proceeds from minerals that are mined there. These minerals are used in cell phones, laptop computers and other consumer electronics. Today, in committee we passed a policy that will allow us to consider the use of minerals from the Congo in our purchasing decisions. It passed to the full council by a 3-1 vote. Citrus County Homeless Shelters
We operate the largest shelter system in Citrus County Florida on the smallest budget. 75 beds were created in less than 15 months , and without a dime to start. Our goal for the remainder of 2011 is to add two more shelters and 90 beds. The three year plan is to wipe out homelessness in Citrus County.
