Councilman Guido just outside Ybor City

The home of Judge Leo Stalnaker, in Gary, just outside of Ybor City, and now home to Mark and Carrie West, features many original items from the Hillsborough County courthouse that was in downtown Tampa and torn down in the 1950’s.

Not all is lost, because several remnants, from several stained glass windows, to a staircase, and several columns are all salvaged and original from the courthouse.
An interesting feature is the plaster on the walls of some of the rooms. Apparently, the same individual who did work on the Tampa Theatre in 1926, applied a similar finish to some of the rooms in this home.
Absolutely stunning with a great Tampa story.
