Ybor Chamber To License Guavaween

The Ybor City Chamber of Commerce is considering licensing its nationally-known Halloween event, Guavaween, to a third party for 2014. "We think it's time for the Chamber to spin-off this unique special event,"
said David Alvarez, Chair of the Ybor City Chamber.
The Chamber's Guavaween is now in its 28th year.  This celebration has been an Ybor institution for almost most three decades; long enough to build a significant national reputation. outside of the district. Guavaween's very colorful and somewhat naughty reputation is a 22nd century phenomena with a web presence that is "larger than life." The creators of Ybor's Guavaween were ahead of their time, capitalizing on what has become the second most commercialized holiday in America.
If you are interested in putting together a proposal to compete to license the rights to Guavaween 2014 and beyond, submit a Letter of Inquiry to the Chamber at
Please, no phone calls at this time.
