Florida Dems Beware

Florida will be among the most fiercely contested states on Nov. 3. Ron DeSantis, is a close ally of the president. The coronavirus subcommittee says the state government in Tallahassee, which remains largely inert as a result of the pandemic — even as DeSantis has pushed businesses to reopen — “has not developed statewide projections of voter turnout, absentee ballots, or poll workers needed.” The report says the DeSantis administration “is refusing to take an active role to ensure the general election runs smoothly.” HERE

Revolting against the Florida Democratic Party

DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATES competing in state legislative and congressional races across Florida are revolting against the Florida Democratic Party, saying that the party has abandoned them — and that the party’s refusal to support their efforts to flip the legislature could hurt Joe Biden in November.

Several candidates are being denied access to a powerful voter data tool, significantly impairing their ability to organize and campaign, and are now asking the state Democratic Party to either help turn Florida blue or get out of their way. HERE

Florida Dems Beware

Trump is scheming to retain power in the event of an electoral loss in November, according to a former Senator from Colorado.
---
Trump will attempt to retain power through voter suppression. The Senator alleges there is a strategy to suppress voter turnout by purging voters - especially inner-city voters - from registration rolls and to suppress mail-in voting. He also believes physical polling locations will be limited, especially in urban areas, in an effort to create long lines on Election Day and discourage voting. HERE

Florida Democrats Recoiling

Florida Democrats are rising in opposition to the news Joe Biden is vetting a running mate who once lamented the death of
“Comandante en jefe” Fidel Castro.
---
Karen Bass‘ comments about the longtime Cuban leader following his death in 2016 — when she respectfully called him “comandante en jefe” (in Spanish, commander in chief) — is politically poisonous in Miami, home to many exiles from socialist Latin American regimes that include Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua.
---
Florida Dems have spent two years fighting a renewed GOP effort to brand them as socialists.

Florida Fakers

Never forget that our state's Democratic apparatus (I suppose the Republicans go without saying)  turned it's back on policies like Medicare For All, a Green New Deal, Housing for All and College Debt Relief as out state suffered from lack of health insurance, rising seas, affordable housing shortages and cost of living increases.

Florida Dems Hold a Voter Registration Advantage Over GOP

For the first time in Florida's history, a political party in the state has more than 5 million registered voters.
As of Jan. 31, Democrats had 5.04 million registered voters in the state, compared to 4.79 million registered Republicans, according to Florida's Department of State. An additional 3.78 million voters are registered with minor parties or have no party affiliation. HERE

The Dems War on Bernie 2020

Dozens of interviews with Democratic establishment leaders this week show that they are not just worried about Sanders’ candidacy, but are also willing to risk intraparty damage to stop his nomination at the national convention in July if they get the chance. Since Sanders’ victory in Nevada’s caucuses Saturday, The New York Times has interviewed 93 party officials — all of them superdelegates, who could have a say on the nominee at the convention — and found overwhelming opposition to handing the Vermont senator the nomination if he arrived with the most delegates but fell short
of a majority. HERE

From California to the Carolinas, and North Dakota to Ohio, party leaders are worry that Sanders will drag down moderate House and Senate candidates in swing states with his left-wing agenda of “Medicare for All” and free four-year public college.

Bill Clinton, in calls with old friends, vents about the party getting wiped out in the general election.

Florida Dems $2 million Tax Breaks

A group of Florida senators -- including three from Central Florida -- voted Tuesday to give $2 million tax breaks to rental-car giant Avis Budget Group Inc. and a few other big companies that rent or lease cars. HERE
---
Florida Dems Linda Stewart of Orlando and Victor Torres of Kissimmee voted for
the tax break.

Avis and the rental-car industry have been lobbying Florida lawmakers for a tax break for more than a year. They want one to offset an increase to their state corporate income
tax bill.

Sane Floridans Beware

For Every New Registered Democrat In Florida This Year, Republicans Have Added Two HERE

---
Despite much-publicized efforts by the Florida Democratic Party and its allies, state data shows Republicans in the swing state are far outpacing Democrats when it comes to the raw number of registered voters.

"While Democrats are busy coming up with fabricated voter registration numbers, impeachment conspiracy theories, and radical socialist policies that would raise taxes and kill jobs, the RNC and Trump Campaign are lapping the Democrats on every front: organizing, fundraising, volunteer training, registering voters, and more,” said Trump Victory Spokesperson Emerson George.

How Corporate Democrats Screwed All Of Us In 2016

If your main priority is defeating Trump, #BernieSanders is the man to nominate. If it's to transform this country into one that works for everyone, not just the 1%, he's even more the man to nominate. He was the one in 2016, and look how
the DNC screwed all of us

Florida Dems Bullshit Resolution

This is what came out of the first post-election Florida Democratic Party meeting. Instead of the state party reaching deep and making the systemic changes that we need to in order to win elections, they want to scrap transparency and shove unity down our throats without supporting the concepts needed to foster real unity. Smoke and mirrors.

How do you achieve this unity when you don’t listen to the grassroots folks who do your grunt work?
