Helped Fund Cuban Independence With the support of the cigar makers, (Jose) Martí established the Cuban Revolutionary Party and planned a military attack on Cuba’s Spanish government. Refusing the title of “President”, José Martí became the “delegate” of the Cuban Revolutionary Party on April 18, 1892. By 1895, the Fernandina Plan, a plan for Cuban independence by force, was set in motion. here
Last night the Hillsborough County Democratic party hosted a Get Out the Vote rally in Ybor City. “Seventy five times he took the 5th Amendment, I wanna tell you what the 5th Amendment is, folks…..you can hide behind it. That’s your constitutional right. Because that will keep you from being prosecuted. But you can’t take the 5th and think you can become the governor of the state of Florida!”......Rod Smith Please Don't Vote For Rick Scott.

No matter how you slice or dice it, no matter what Marco Rubio, Rick Scott, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Fox News or the Republican Party may say – the only way to vote against the status quo, against incumbents, against the culture of corruption and gridlock that has gripped Florida government for years now, is to vote against almost everyone affiliated with the party that has controlled every branch of government for over a decade. here

Before she was running, Pam Bondi was busy manipulating the legal system to keep a dog from a Louisiana family that was displaced by Hurricane Katrina. How can Floridians trust someone who uses the legal system to destroy a family to be their Attorney General. They CAN'T.
"Bad officials are elected by good citizens who do not vote." ~ George Jean Nathan. This is Florida after all, and we've seen plenty of elections where just hundreds of votes can make the difference between progress and more of the same.
The Florida Senate has been under Republican control since 1992, the Florida House since 1996, and we've had a Republican governor since 1999. If you think Florida's economy is the result of national laws and policies, please take note that the U.S. House and Senate were controlled by Republicans for 11 of the last 15 years and the presidency was held by a Republican for eight of the last 10 years.
It is not logical to blame President Barack Obama for failing to clean up the economic mess created by Republicans holding national and state office in less than two years.
If you are unhappy with the state of Florida's economy, "something different" would be to replace the Republicans who created this mess with some Democrats who might be able to clean it up.

1) President Obama tripled the deficit. Reality: Bush's last budget had a $1.416 trillion deficit. Obama's first budget reduced that to $1.29 trillion.
2) President Obama raised taxes, which hurt the economy. Reality: Obama cut taxes. 40% of the "stimulus" was wasted on tax cuts which only create debt, which is why it was so much less effective than it could have been.
3) President Obama bailed out the banks. Reality: While many people conflate the "stimulus" with the bank bailouts, the bank bailouts were requested by President Bush and his Treasury Secretary, former Goldman Sachs CEO Henry Paulson. (Paulson also wanted the bailouts to be "non-reviewable by any court or any agency.") The bailouts passed and began before the 2008 election of President Obama.
4) The stimulus didn't work. Reality: The stimulus worked, but was not enough. In fact, according to the Congressional Budget Office, the stimulus raised employment by between 1.4 million and 3.3 million jobs.
5) Businesses will hire if they get tax cuts. Reality: A business hires the right number of employees to meet demand. Having extra cash does not cause a business to hire, but a business that has a demand for what it does will find the money to hire. Businesses want customers, not tax cuts.
6) Health care reform costs $1 trillion. Reality: The health care reform reduces government deficits by $138 billion.
7) Social Security is a Ponzi scheme, is "going broke," people live longer, fewer workers per retiree Reality: Social Security has run a surplus since it began, has a trust fund in the trillions, is completely sound for at least 25 more years and cannot legally borrow so cannot contribute to the deficit (compare that to the military budget!) Life expectancy is only longer because fewer babies die; people who reach 65 live about the same number of years as they used to.
8) Government spending takes money out of the economy. Reality: Government is We, the People and the money it spends is on We, the People. Many people do not know that it is government that builds the roads, airports, ports, courts, schools and other things that are the soil in which business thrives. Many people think that all government spending is on "welfare" and "foreign aid" when that is only a small part of the government's budget. For The Facts,Click Here
