Florida’s Governor is again weighing in on a constitutional amendment that could allow for recreational cannabis.

He thinks it stinks. Literally. And Ron DeSantis is using pungent results in other states to prove his point about the the Adult Personal Use of Marijuana citizen initiative, which could expand the current retail model beyond medical necessity, allowing visitors to the state and residents without qualifying conditions access to the product.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) is warning college students in his state that they could be expelled if they engage in unsanctioned protests on campuses.

“At places like Columbia and Yale, Hamas protesters rule the roost, and the universities are too weak and scared to do anything — even as these mobs harass Jewish students and faculty,” the governor said in a post on the social platform X. “If you try that at a Florida university, you are going to be expelled.”

Classified as crime victims, some migrants flown to Martha’s Vineyard get legal protections

At least three of the people flown to the Vineyard by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in 2022 can now legally work and have protections from deportation.

Some of the migrants who were flown to Martha’s Vineyard by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’s administration in 2022 are now able to legally work and have protection against deportation because they are considered victims of a potential crime, according to multiple reports.

The City of St. Petersburg, like every other state municipality, must strictly enforce a public sleeping ban or face potential lawsuits from people, business owners and the attorney general.

Ron DeSantis floats sending Haitian refugees to Martha’s Vineyard

The return of Air DeSantis may be imminent.

Gov. Ron DeSantis said some undocumented immigrants intercepted while attempting to land in Florida from Haiti may lead to a trip to New England for those refugees.

“We do have our transport program also that’s going to be operational,” DeSantis said. “So Haitians who land in the Florida Keys, their next stop very well may be Martha’s Vineyard.”

Lawmakers OK volunteer chaplains in public schools; civil rights groups say it’s unconstitutional


Despite backlash from dozens of civil rights organizations, the Florida Legislature on Thursday passed a bill to allow volunteer chaplains with limited qualifications to go into public schools and provide unspecified support and services to students.

The Senate approved the bill on Thursday along party lines and the House passed it earlier. The legislation now heads to Gov. Ron DeSantis’ desk for his consideration.
