April 20, 2010, chaos struck on the Gulf of Mexico as a BP oil rig began to leak millions of gallons of oil into the Ocean; destroying sea life, birds and many local’s livelihood, as well as being declared as a National disaster by Barrack Obama – and now having a severe effect the price of oil throughout the world. We take a look at just what happened since that day, and how BP managed to cap the potential world crisis.

Why Did They Have To Kill The Gator?
Faculty and staff of Steward Middle School in Tampa, Florida, were surprised Monday morning by a seven-foot alligator that had wandered into the building over the weekend.The Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission
along with trappers caught the animal, removed it and euthanized it......here

Tampa Bay Brewing Company and Florida Aquarium will be serving up a specially brewed beer on Friday to help the rehabilitation efforts for marine life affected by the oil leak along the Gulf coast......here

Spill Drifting Toward Florida's West Coast
West Florida Continental Shelf forecast of surface trajectories for Gulf of Mexico Oil Spill. An arm of the oil slick appears to have exited the Loop Current and is drifting eastward aided by onshore winds. By June 3, oil is predicted to be 120 miles off the coast of Tampa Bay and Florida's west coast.

St. Petersburg Cracking Down on Street Soliicitations
St. Petersburg has been nationally known for aggressive tactics against the homeless. Those acts included destroying the tents of homeless people. St. Petersburg is making an attempt to ban solicitations on road mediums. Panhandlers will not be the only people punished. Newspaper venders, charities and firefighers will be effected by the ban.......here
