Deltona School Apologizes For Teaching Science In Science Class

Alan Grayson: Raise The Minimum Wage

Last week, I met with workers in Tampa making the minimum wage. Fast food workers, home healthcare workers – and a college professor! They told me how hard it is to scrape by, in a minimum-wage job in today’s America. In an economy that is rigged for the uber-wealthy, and against the middle class.

Florida Wants To Ban Fracking Bans

Big Oil is at it again. Their allies in the legislature are trying to ban cities and counties from either regulating or banning fracking.
HB 191 and SB 318
would deny local communities the ability to regulate fracking would not only stop proposed rules going forward, but be retroactive and eliminate rules already in place. Take action by signing the petition and tell the Florida Legislature to reject HB 191 and SB 318. Communities should be able to protect their land and water from fracking.
