Florida Is On The Extreme: Disenfranchise Prisoners

Florida voters weighed in on who should be the next president of the United States. But some 1.5 million Floridians are left out of that voting process: convicted felons. Florida is one of the worst states to commit a felony and expect ever to vote again, because you won’t be able to. here

Panama City: Police State

“It’s a police state “When there are blue lights in front of Spinnaker and La Vela every night, that’s not welcoming. The sheriff has put the message out on social media that if you come to Panama City and drink on the beach you are going to jail. Not get a citation, but go to jail.” Sparky Sparkman, the owner of Spinnaker Beach Club. here
His business is down 85 to 90 percent compared to last Spring Break as college students have found other destinations in the wake of new laws, including a ban on drinking on the beach in March. Tampa Bay Sierra Club On Our Transportation Planning

"The Tampa Bay region pays a high price to remain the only major metropolitan area in America without a viable public transportation system. Permissive development policies in Hillsborough County created sprawling, cul-de-sac subdivisions that frustrate public transportation planning. Tampa will not attract the best and brightest entrepreneurs and professionals so essential to a vibrant, thriving economy if we continue to ignore their desire for walkable, bicycle friendly communities and a modern public transit system."
