Florida INC. Radioactive Water

Mosaic phosphate fertilizer plant in Mulberry may have dumped at least 215 million gallons of contaminated water into the Floridan Aquifer over the past three weeks. it could be months before the hole is plugged.  Neither Mosaic nor DEP officials notified the public about the spill. here

Allows Florida INC. to dump greater concentrations of toxins, including carcinogens, into Florida’s rivers and streams. It was approved on a 3-2 vote by the Environmental Regulation Commission in July. On Tuesday an administrative law judge dismissed a series of complaints because they missed the deadline for filing the challenge. here
