Hillsborough County GOP Votes To Continue The Infestation

GOP commissioners voted 5-2 to move ahead with a plan to overhaul the structure of the Hillsborough County Commission including the addition
of two seats.
-----
The proposal is being pushed by Republican Commissioner
Sandy Murman. The proposal would give her more options to stay in office.
-----
The commission’s two Democrats voted against Murman’s plan. Commissioner Pat Kemp said the move is aimed simply at protecting Republican controlled at-large seats in what political pundits predict may be a tough election year for the GOP.
-----
"This is in my mind raw partisan politics, this is commissioners trying to draw districts for themselves to keep themselves on the commission." Pat Kemp

Coffee with Adam Hattersley

It’s emotionally satisfying for Democrats to hear a young veteran candidate talk about the over 200 combat missions he has completed in Iraq while proudly wearing the Democratic badge. Then, throw in the fact that voters have historically seen candidates with a military pedigree as an appealing contrast to entrenched, career politicians. Enter Adam Hattersley, a political newcomer whose background and military experience read like the pages of a Tom Clancy novel.

Hattersley, a former Nuclear Submarine officer in the US Navy and Iraq War veteran, is running for Florida State House, District 59. The former Navy officer rounds out his qualifications with Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan as well as being a member in the 1999 NCAA champion men’s gymnastics team.

Adam Hattersley is an ally of Main Street, not Wall Street. In 2016, Hattersley and his wife embraced the entrepreneurial spirit and opened the doors to their business, C-Suite Promotions, a print and promotional item distributorship. As a business owner, he understands the challenges small businesses are facing today and knows the importance of fostering local commerce.

Adam is a principled veteran who will work in a cross-partisan way to create a more effective and less polarized government for District 59.

Asher Edelson Speaks At City Hall

Speaking to Tampa City Council demanding Audit
to Investigate “Biking While Black."
-----
Another gentleman also spoke directing his anger towards
Frank Reddick. He was stopped and told to direct
his comments towards the whole body. He mentioned that Reddick had done nothing for Tampa's
African American community.
-----
Joe Citro was there and a few other people.
Where was everybody?
-----
This is your government at work. I know it's hard for working people to be at City Hall on a weekday morning but what about retirees? Don't you you care about your children and grand children's future? What about students that don't have class?

This is NOT What Democracy Looks Like!!

Not when party "movers & shakers, State Chess players, Puppet Masters, King & Queen makers" put pressure on any primary candidate to vacate their race because they don't want a primary. It's Bullshit and Business as usual. Why not let the constituents have a choice? Bob and Karen Meyer Buesing are class acts, and that's why my choice would have been to vote for Bob Buesing in the primary and general elections.
-----
We all know that some candidates are motivated to run because they want power, prestige, and to do well (for themselves), I believe that Bob's motive was driven by the desire to Do Good. I am not surprised that Bob would put party above himself. Bob may have done right by the party, but they have not done right by him, nor us, the people.
-----
I am also pleased that he is returning donor contributions instead of funneling them into the party. I'm tired of candidates being shoved down my throat. Anybody who is reading this, don't misunderstand, I am not advocating for voting for Dana Young or any GOP candidate. I am exercising my freedom of speech, and criticizing a deeply flawed system. This is NOT What Democracy Looks Like!
