Mayor Gillum Got Rained Out

HELP THE MAYOR HERE

The Rays can afford to build their own stadium!

The Rays baseball team—with a long history of terrible attendance—is worth $900 million according to Forbes magazine. They are in the process of signing a $1.2 billion television rights contract which means they will get $120 million a year for 10 years in free money just for being here. Source

The Legacy Of Tampa Mayor And City Council

Bronze bust of Princess Ulele

 hauled away before dawn

from Tampa Riverwalk here

---
With only a moving crew as witnesses,
an 1,800 pound bronze bust of Native American Princess Ulele was hoisted up and hauled away before dawn Tuesday under orders from the city of Tampa.
---
The City of Tampa

We had to demand the removal of the confederate one, yet they remove the native American in the middle of the night. Some of those people are up for re-election, remember them. From now on we hope Mr. Gonzmart is more careful of who he holds fundraisers for.
We will miss his beautiful statue!

The Progressive Wing of the Florida Democratic Party owns responsibility for this election

By choosing King, Gillum ensured that the progressive wing of the Florida Democratic Party owns responsibility for this election.  Progressives for years have been flinging brickbats at the party establishment for backing centrists.  Except for U. S. Sen. Bill Nelson, FDP candidates have consistently failed in statewide general elections; there hasn’t been a Democratic governor in 20 years.
---
Democratic powerbrokers split their allegiances in the primary between former Miami Beach Mayor Phil Levine and Graham.  The Tallahassee mayor was virtually ignored until he surged in the last three weeks of the campaign.  Even then, he garnered virtually no support from the
 so-called corporate wing.
