Ron DeSantis accused of illegal acts of torture against Guantanamo detainees when he was a Navy JAG officer
Mansoor Adayfi, formerly detainee #441 and also known as Abdul Rahman Ahmed, says JAG Officer Ron DeSantis observed, allowed and participated in illegal acts of torture to help put down a hunger strike in 2006 by dozens of detainees protesting their detention. DeSantis also covered up the torture, Adayfi says.

Florida leaders express outrage over Tyre Nichols’ murder by Memphis police
Orlando Democratic Rep. Maxwell Frost, the youngest member of Congress, offered a statement Friday night.
“My heart breaks for the Nichols family and for Tyre’s friends and loved ones, who tonight had to watch the violent and senseless murder of someone who should still be with them today,” Frost said. “This video makes clear that our system is not working right now.
