Florida Dems Can’t Live Without Alan Grayson

His far-left brand is out of place with Florida’s swingy politics. His penchant for controversy doesn’t go over well with many of Florida’s older Democratic voters. And the establishment wing of the Democratic Party wants him out, out, out — out of the Senate race, out of Congress and, preferably, out of Florida politics altogether.
But despite (or perhaps because of) all that, Rep. Alan Grayson is a figure in Florida politics — a perplexing, divisive figure, but a figure nonetheless, and one who may represent a younger, more liberal, anti-establishment wing of the Democratic Party that Florida Democrats can’t live without. here
People at the highest levels of Democratic politics are actively and publicly trying to undercut his Senate primary campaign against Rep. Patrick Murphy for the seat being vacated by Marco Rubio.

Is Susan Smith And Deborah Mary Newell Leaving The Democratic Party?

"Count me in that (one-third of voters). I'm going to vote for Alan Grayson in Florida's August primary for Senate, then I'm out of the Democratic Party for good. Same thing with the husband and both voting-age sons. Well-done, Democratic Party! I'm hard-pressed to think of a more disappointing, corrupt establishment purporting to represent "progress". Deborah Mary Newell

"I came close to leaving the Democratic Party in 2010 over its ineptitude. If what I heard this afternoon is true--that someone in the Miami Dade Democratic Party is trying to push Senator Dwight Bullard out of his Senate run--then that could be it for me. Senator Bullard is a champion for women, minorities, low-income communities and the public schools. He is a progressive hero. If the party tries to push him out to make room for (yet another) former Republican, I will be done." Susan Smith

Florida DINO Patrick Murphy's Donations

In touting the $2 million Democrat Patrick Murphy raised during the first three months of 2016, his U.S. Senate campaign made a point to note that “over 85 percent of contributions in the first quarter were under $200.”
But while small-dollar donors might have donated thousands of times to the Jupiter congressman, they are far from being the predominant source of his Senate campaign’s income, either last quarter or in general so far.
His primary opponent, fellow U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson is actually the one getting the most traction among small-dollar Democratic supporters. here

Alan Grayson: Organize. Organize. Organize.

Alan Grayson has introduced legislation that would make it easier for workers who want to form or join a union, and make it harder to employers to stop. The Florida Democratic Representative’s Employer Free Choice Act of 2016 (HR 5000) says that if a majority of workers in a workplace sign cards authorizing a union, they get a union. here

Florida Right Winger Todd Schnitt Attacks Alan Grayson

"Recently, a right-wing hate radio host in Florida said that I’m a “mental defect,” that I’m “obnoxious” and “disgusting,” and that I’m a “media whore.”
The verbal mugger in this case was Todd Schnitt, a hatemonger whose radio show is carried in both Miami and Tampa, the two largest media markets in Florida."

After All The Shit! Floridians Still Want Alan Grayson

Grayson still holds a 7-point lead after months of negative press generated by the Patrick Murphy campaign throwing everything including the kitchen sink at him, while the former South Florida Republican has endured virtually no critical attention from the media. here

Susan Smith To Talk Policy With Alan Grayson

"I'm very excited that Congressman Alan Grayson invited me, Nancy Carola Jacobson and Brook Hines to attend the Progressive Congress Strategy Summit in Baltimore next month. It's a great opportunity to network with other progressives and talk policy. Thank you, Congressman!" Susan Smith

Alan Grayson: Justice For Andrew Joseph III

In February of 2014, 14-year-old Andrew Joseph III from Riverview was killed as he tired to cross Interstate 4 on foot after he was ejected from the Florida State Fair
 in Tampa.
Alan Grayson met with Andrew’s parents  in Tampa and said he would pursue the Justice Department to investigate the tragic loss of life. On Thursday, Grayson followed up on his promise, penning a letter to U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch calling for both
a Justice and FBI investigation. here
----------
Grayson notes that this is the same Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office that provided security for the 2012 Republican National Convention and the 2009 Super Bowl. “It seems unfortunate that the same force could not provide adequate security for ‘Student Day. “I’m going to be honest with you – the idea of taking a 14-year-old boy, dropping him off out of a car from where he was, with no practical way to get back in touch with people, to get to any place of safety, seems like inappropriate conduct,” Grayson told reporters inside the Bricks of Ybor.

A Few Words From Alan Grayson

"War— what is it good for? We’ve been asking ourselves this question since Edwin Starr first belted it out in 1970. I can tell you what it’s good for-- padding the pockets of defense contractors and a certain former Vice President who shall remain nameless. I can tell you what it isn’t good for-- peace, the majority of Americans, and our economy. When the rich decide to go to war, it’s the poor and middle class who end up paying for it, with both their money and their lives. Personally, I’m a firm believer that we shouldn’t sacrifice human lives so that a few defense contractors can make big bucks off of making bombs." Alan Grayson

A Real Choice For Florida Dems

Democrats,
for once,
have a real choice in this primary:
One candidate is a gullible ex-Republican who lacked the courage to vote against the GOP’s attempt to block Syrian refugees from coming into the United States. That’s
Patrick Murphy.
They say that there is no difference between most candidates running for office. Maybe that’s true in other races, but not here.
Not between
Alan Grayson
and Patrick Murphy.
Get off your lazy ass and VOTE! You can do it from home here

Patrick Murphy In Damage Control

Sean Phillippi's effort  at diverting attention away from Patrick Murphy's Syrian refugee vote at the Florida Squeeze
----------
What our leader Susan Smith had to say:
"This post is an effort at damage control by Murphy’s campaign. They think they can divert attention away from his Syrian refugee vote by attacking Grayson. It’s sad that Murphy doesn’t ever have anything positive to say about himself." ‪#‎47cowards‬

 Florida Squeeze Poll:
Murphy in 3rd place
Justin Snyder once asked,

"Who's to blame when Patrick Murphy gets crushed next year?"

Florida's Anti-Progressive Fanatics!

Did you know Florida GOP Carlos Curbelo and David Jolly hang out once a month with Florida DINOS Gwen Graham and Patrick Murphy to plot against the people of Florida. In the case of Murphy we will have a choice. here

Stand with Alan Grayson

What do terrorists want?
To change people’s religions?
No. They want to cause terror. And this week, when my opponent Patrick Murphy voted to block Syrian refugees from entering our country because he was terrified, he gave them exactly what they wanted.

Courage,
Rep. Alan Grayson
Candidate for U.S. Senate

Tell Us Your Minimum Wage Story

"I met with minimum-wage workers in Tampa a few weeks ago. Before that, I had never taken an official position on a $15-an-hour minimum wage. But listening to them, I was left with no choice. They can’t survive on $7.25, and I couldn’t, either. Now, if you have something to say on this, I’d like to hear from you. You share your story. If it’s a good one, it will help drive us all toward social justice."

ResignRubio.com

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Truant) has quit on you. He’s quit on me. And he’s quit on 19,000,000+ people in Florida. Marco has been playing hooky. He is no longer showing up for his job, despite being paid nearly $15,000/month to do it. If he can’t be bothered to show up and vote, then he should quit, and we should all move on. Add your name now to tell Marco Rubio to resign from his Senate seat.

Alan Grayson: Raise The Minimum Wage

Last week, I met with workers in Tampa making the minimum wage. Fast food workers, home healthcare workers – and a college professor! They told me how hard it is to scrape by, in a minimum-wage job in today’s America. In an economy that is rigged for the uber-wealthy, and against the middle class.
