The Tampa-based brewpub Zydeco Brew Werks was voted the fourth-best in America.

WEEK AHEAD: Georgia DA Willis expected to issue MULTIPLE indictments
Here come the indictments, and there could be a lot of them. District Attorney Fani Willis is taking her case to a grand jury next week to seek indictments, and the latest report is that there will be more than a dozen.
The most obvious expected indictment is against Donald Trump, who is accused of illegal efforts to overturn the 2020 election, though there’s not yet any official word on what the charges will be.

New College Of Florida Trustees Move To Abolish Gender Studies Program
The New College of Florida (NCF) board of trustees voted Thursday to direct the administration of the institution to abolish its gender studies program, according to Chris Rufo, a member of the board.
In January, Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis appointed six new conservative members to the NCF board of trustees in an effort to overhaul the ideological education system. Since being appointed, the board has voted to eliminate the college’s diversity, equity and inclusion office (DEI) and ban the use of diversity statements.

The co-author of Ron DeSantis’s racist revamp of Florida’s African-American history curriculum is a right-wing documentary film producer and author who has published screeds admonishing Democrats as racists and socialists.
The other was the chairman of the US Commission on Civil Rights — under Ronald Reagan. He’s also the lead scholar at The Center for Urban Renewal and Education, a right-wing religious public policy think tank.

Monthly market the Indie Flea arrives at 1920 Ybor City this fall

The Indie Flea brings together dozens of the best food vendors, makers, artists, florists and more for a monthly market. It will officially return to Tampa in historic Ybor City at the newly opened 1920 club (1920 E 7th Ave) November 2023-April 2024. The event is free to attend and will be held the second Sunday of each month. 1920’s first Indie Flea takes place November 12. Indie Flea organizers have announced that applications are now open for vendors.....MORE
