Florida’s Unemployment Insurance System Is The Worst In The Nation
Most unemployed workers never qualify and those who do, don’t receive the payments they need to pay for even the most basic necessities and the payments don’t last long enough for them to find work in an economy that
is still in ruins. here
Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commissioner Wants To Kill Our Panthers
FWC Commissioner Liesa Priddy and other business landowners are asking for what’s called an “incidental take permit.” The permit would protect them from civil or criminal penalties under the Endangered Species Act. That involves killing, hunting, shooting or trapping any threatened or endangered species. It also accounts for altering an animal’s natural habitat to the point it would not be able to reproduce or nest there. here

Patrick Murphy Throws Hillary To The Wolves
On May 8, 2014, the Republicans
rammed through a resolution to establish the Select Committee on the Events
Surrounding the 2012 Terrorist Attack in Benghazi, a committee specifically
designed as a witch hunt to drag Hillary Clinton through the mud and sully her
name before the 2016 presidential election. Every single Republican voted
YES (225 of them) and 186 Democrats voted NO. Seven of the worst Democrats
in the House-- the ones who consistently vote for Boehner's agenda day in and
day out-- crossed the aisle and voted with the Republicans. Patrick Murphy was one of them. here
BTW, He is coming to Tampa to take our money. Bob Buckhorn,
Jim Davis and Alex Sink are hosting.

United for Care Upset at Pasco County Decision to Pass Moratorium
In a unanimous decision, Pasco County commissioners voted to place a yearlong
moratorium on medical marijuana. United for Care, the organization leading the
charge in collecting petitions to put the decision of a comprehensive medical
marijuana law before the voters in 2016 understands the difference between a ban
and moratorium, but still finds the moratorium disappointing.
“We hoped that the commissioners of Pasco County would consider the needs of
the patients and the detriment this yearlong moratorium could have on their
citizens. Keeping medical marijuana treatment centers out of the county is not
an effective way to bring safe access to their citizens,” said Ben Pollara,
Campaign Manager of United the Care.
United for Care takes the position
that local communities must decide what is best for themselves, but should do so
in a way as to allow residents safe access to medical marijuana once it is
available.
Mr. Pollara continued, “While we understand that local community leaders need
to have discussions regarding new policies and do what’s best for their
citizens, I think they’re jumping the gun. The commissioners are going to really
hurt people who are in desperate need of relief. Hopefully they will reconsider
and lift the moratorium soon."

Ybor City May Lose Cuban Consulate To St. Pete
Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn's lack of vision and ties to Frado of the MCM may have cost Ybor City their Cuban Consulate office. According to St. Pete City Council Chairman Charlie Gerdes "A couple of other Florida cities have been outright rejected." Alluding to Tampa and Miami.
