Florida INC. Patrick Murphy
Last summer, President Barack Obama unveiled his Clean Power Plan, a proposal that would implement new EPA standards for power plants to reduce carbon emissions 32 percent below 2005 levels by 2030. Big business interests and Right Wingers (such as Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi) cheered when the proposal was stayed by the U.S. Supreme Court last month. here When Florida DINO Patrick E. Murphy was asked if he thought the proposal was unfair to industry, Murphy said that there are too many unnecessary regulations imposed on businesses, and touted his co-sponsonship with South Carolina Republican Mick Mulvaney of the Regulatory Improvement Act, which created a commission to review and revise redundant regulations.

Champion for transit!
"Without a primary focus on transit, or at least an attempt at balance, voters won't support a sales tax."
----------
"Tampa Bay needs to move forward with a 21st century transportation plan. We can do way better than what's being proposed. A 1/2 cents tax with 65% for roads is a plan that looks backwards, not forwards."
----------
"We can do better. The proposed sales tax, 1/2 cent (as it now stands) is 65% for roads, 25% for transit and 10% optional transit for 30 years. So contrary to what's repeated like a mantra, that we live in a car culture."

Floridians Defeat The Florida Frackers
Thanks to Floridians like you, communities throughout our state will be able to protect their land and water by banning fracking. Earlier today, the sponsor of the dangerous fracking bill,
Florida Fracker Garrett Richter withdrew SB 318 from the Senate Appropriations Committee saying
"I didn't have the votes."
Give yourselves a hand Florida. This didn't happen by accident. Thousands of Floridians from every corner of our state spoke loudly and clearly, putting daily pressure on their elected representatives in the legislature. It worked. here
