A senatorial candidate has arisen in Florida who makes Trump look like a goddamn centrist, and his name is Augustus Sol Invictus. The 32-year-old lawyer and probable fascist is running as a Libertarian to replace Marco Rubio as one of Florida’s two representatives in the U.S. Senate, and his history is fairly insane. here

United for Care Looking For Medical Marijuana Refugees
Bianca A Garza,
Hello everyone! As Director of Communications with United for Care. I am still looking for people who have left Florida for a state that allows medical use of marijuana. In other words, medical marijuana refugees. I'd like to hear and share these stories in order to help educate the community on why a medical marijuana law is so important in our state. If you know of anyone please give them my email: bianca@unitedforcare.orgBob Buckhorn's Fringe Groups

Is so excited about Daniel Webster becoming Speaker of the House that she called the staff of FloridaPolitics.com asking for guidance on how she might vote for for him. Alan Grayson: Raise The Minimum Wage
Last week, I met
with workers in Tampa making the minimum wage. Fast food workers, home
healthcare workers – and a college professor! They told me how hard it is to
scrape by, in a minimum-wage job in today’s America. In an economy that is
rigged for the uber-wealthy, and against the middle class.

Florida Wants To Ban Fracking Bans
Big Oil is at it again. Their allies in the legislature are trying to ban cities and counties from either regulating or banning fracking.
HB 191 and SB 318
would deny local communities the ability to regulate fracking would not only stop proposed rules going forward, but be retroactive and eliminate rules already in place. Take action by signing the petition and tell the Florida Legislature to reject HB 191 and SB 318. Communities should be able to protect their land and water from fracking.

Patrick Murphy: Why Florida Dems Suck
Murphy's campaign has announced the endorsements from Amanda Murphy of New Port Richey (Shame, this blog HAD high hopes for her), Cynthia Stafford of Miami, Richard Stark of Weston and Mia Jones and Reggie Fullwood, both of Jacksonville. The added support gives Murphy the backing of almost 60 percent of the 53 Democrats in the Florida Legislature: seven in the Senate and 24 in the House. here
Please note, in a poll at THE FLORIDA SQUEEZE, he is in 3rd place behind Alan Grayson and Pam Keith. Is it to early to start taking bets on how bad he will lose to the GOP if he is nominated?
