The U.S. House voted against allowing Veterans Administration (VA) doctors to discuss and recommend medical marijuana to their patients in states where it is legal. But despite the narrow defeat, Kathy Castor voted the right way! Thank your Representative for voting in favor of veteran access to medical marijuana and tell them to support the CARERS Act.

The Death Of Conservatism In America
Republicans and conservatives
have a brand problem.
Republicans are baffled by Hillary Clinton’s persistent lead in the polls despite months of bad publicity. the Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll released Monday showing Clinton ahead of both Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio by 6 points, Scott Walker by 10, and Rand Paul by 3.
The New York Times/CBS poll released a day later
showed what the GOP is up against:
Only 29 percent of Americans had a favorable view of the Republican Party,
while 43 percent had a positive view of the Democrats. The survey also documented a steady but little-noticed trend: Americans, by their own self-description, are becoming less conservative. here

Florida Democratic Party ‘Bosses’ Out-Of-Touch
“Florida Democratic voters choose our party nominee, not out-of-touch party bosses sipping cognac in a smoke-filled room in Washington DC.,” Alan Grayson
“Progressives are the heart and soul of the Democratic Party in Florida and across the nation. We are the volunteers who stuff envelopes, knock on doors, and provide the grassroots energy that powers successful Democratic campaigns. The idea that a senator from Montana and Wall Street Democrats know better than rank-and-file Florida Democrats is both patronizing and unsurprising. Then again, no one knows better than Jon Tester that DSCC support
doesn’t mean a whole lot." Susan Smith

Last week's legislative meltdown in Tallahassee, dramatic and dysfunctional as it was, doesn't appear to threaten the political future of Republicans who control both chambers of state government — or of anyone else in their party running for office in 2016.

Winter Park Police Lack Of Evidence
Earlier this week, an unnamed police officer using a police union Facebook account posted about a restaurant called Miller’s Ale House in Winter Park, Florida. The post asserted that cooks at the restaurant were conspiring to spit in the food of any policeman who ordered from the restaurant.
Just one problem: there’s a compelling lack of something called “evidence.” Since I realize most modern-day police officers are unfamiliar with that term. here

Shawn Harrison District 63 Want Their Money Back
Mike Reedy, the Democratic running to unseat Republican state Rep. Shawn Harrison in a north Tampa swing district, has seized on an interest message over the Florida House shutting down early this week: You owe taxpayers their money back.
“Shawn Harrison and his gang in the Republican leadership have let us, the taxpayers, down once again. I, along with my fellow citizens of District 63 call for you, Representative Harrison, to return your paycheck. You work for us, not the Republican leadership."

Must See: Alan Grayson On Obama's Fake Trade
Americans are creating tens of millions of jobs in other countries with our purchasing power, and we are losing tens of millions of jobs in our country, because foreigners are not buying as much of our goods and services. What are they doing? They’re buying our assets. So we lose twice. We lose the jobs, and we are moving further toward national bankruptcy. That is the end game. here

the fact there are about

Many lawmakers come from safe, gerrymandered districts, and that means they don’t have to listen to anyone outside their leadership. So, with Democrats having only 38 representatives to the 120-member state House, the next logical step was for the GOP to devour itself. here
