Florida AG Ashley Moody Warns Of Hackers Accessing Smart TVs
Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody is continuing the Summer Scams Series with a warning about an emerging smart TV scam.
In this new scheme, fraudsters attempt to gain remote access to a target’s smart TV to steal personal or financial information.

More say violence could be necessary to restore Trump to White House: survey
A recent survey shows increasing support for the use of violence to restore former President Trump to the White House.
The report, titled “Dangers to Democracy” and released by the Chicago Project on Security Threats (CPST) earlier this month, found that 7 percent of Americans from April 6 to June 26 agree that “the use of force is justified to restore Donald Trump to the presidency.”
That number is an increase from 4.5 percent, or “the equivalent of an estimated shift from 12 million to 18 million American adults,” according to the survey, which was conducted by CPST and NORC.

Ron DeSantis recently signed HB 1417 aka the Florida Landlord Tenant Act into law, which went into effect on July 1. 100 degree bay temperatures near the Florida Keys. A new World Record?
On Monday, at about 7:30 p.m., water temperatures in Manatee Bay registered at 101F. Ordinarily meteorologists would assume the gauge was broken, but at least 3 sites in the region registered 98 or greater today, so this adds some credibility. And this comes amidst weeks of record breaking water temperatures in Florida Bay and the Keys.....MORE

Ron DeSantis charges Kamala Harris with trying to ‘chirp and demagogue’ Florida Black History guidelines
During a press conference in Utah, Gov. Ron DeSantis derided Vice President Kamala Harris for trying to “chirp” and “demagogue” about Florida’s revised Black History standards.
DeSantis defended the “robust” guidelines, which include teaching middle school students “how slaves developed skills which, in some instances, could be applied for their personal benefit,” and teaching high school students about “acts of violence perpetrated against and by African Americans” in the context of events like the Ocoee Massacre.
