Hillsborough County to open additional comfort stations


Hillsborough County will open four additional comfort stations Monday for those recovering from Hurricane Milton, county officials announced Sunday. The new comfort stations will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., daily, until further notice.....MORE

Nearly 1 Million In Florida Have Voted By Mail Ahead Of Nov. 5 Election


As of midday Friday, nearly 1 million Floridians have cast their votes by mail for the upcoming November 5 election, according to data posted on the state Division of Elections website. A total of 990,989 mail-in ballots have been submitted to local election supervisors.

Registered Democrats have returned the largest share of ballots, submitting 423,249 votes, while Republicans have returned 363,899. Independent voters accounted for 184,059 mail-in ballots, and 19,782 were filed by voters affiliated with minor parties.
