For the first time ever there will be a vote in Congress on blocking weapons to Israel

Last week Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) announced that he had introduced legislation to block a $20 billion arms sale to Israel.

The Joint Resolutions of Disapproval would prevent the delivery of offensive weapons that the State Department approved in August, just days before ceasefire talks were set to resume. The package includes fighter jets and advanced air-to-air missiles.

Tropical Depression 14 forms in Gulf as Florida braces for impact

Florida could soon face another severe storm as a tropical depression is forming in the western Gulf of Mexico, the National Weather Service warned Saturday.

It is forecast to quickly intensify while it moves eastward to northeastward across the Gulf of Mexico and be at or near major hurricane strength when it reaches the west coast of the Florida Peninsula mid week.

Tampa offering free Uber vouchers to comfort stations

The Comfort Station at the Gandy Civic Association offers families hot meals, water, supplies and more.

The city is providing Uber ride vouchers to help residents get to the comfort stations around the county.

Officials opened up the stations after Hurricane Helene, which offer free food, water and ice. In Tampa, locations include:
