Self-Proclaimed Environment Expert Dana Young

Tell Majority Leader (and self-proclaimed environment expert) Dana Young to stand up to Big Sugar and stop the toxic water crisis facing Florida. The noxious algae – spurred by pollution from sugar companies – is choking our waterways, hurting our communities’ economy, environment and health. Young’s silence on the crisis is deafening and unacceptable.
Rep. Dana Young and politicians like Governor Rick Scott and Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam are at the center of this crisis. For years, they have ignored calls from the EPA to monitor these water pollutants more closely while allow[ing] poor water policies to poison and degrade Florida's most valuable resources. Make no mistake: Rep. Young, the Florida Cabinet and their allies could have prevented this from happening!
It is no coincidence that U.S. Sugar Corp., one of Florida’s worst environmental offenders, gave Dana Young $20,000 just last month. here

Local Treasure Joe Redner

Redner said he is running (again) because,
"I just think I can have an impact on what's going on in the state of Florida. It upsets me. I think people aren't getting a fair shake."
The District 18 campaign will pit Redner against Republican Dana Young of Tampa. here
If there is anyway we can help you, please let us know!

Tampa Bay GOP Dangerous To Your Health

The Florida GOP voted to allow concealed weapons to be carried on state college and university campuses. Over the objections of Pinellas Sheriff Bob Gualtieri and most Tampa Bay law enforcement leaders, it voted to allow 1.5 million gun owners with concealed weapons permits to openly carry their guns
in most public places.

except one voted for both gun bills. here

Pam Bondi: Florida GOP Pawn

Bondi is a party pawn intent on carrying out partisan agendas through selective
legal enforcement  Her failed political causes have mounted:
Taking a gay marriage challenge to the U.S. Supreme Court, fighting tooth and nail against medical marijuana and Obamacare, and even punting on taking on the banks responsible for Florida's historic foreclosure crisis. Her quixotic battles have made her a national darling of conservatives. She scans as a smart, sane version of Sarah Palin. here

"She is the most substantive attorney general we have had in recent memory," says state Rep. Dana Young, a Republican lawmaker from Tampa
----------
"You get the sense that rather than being the watchdog for the state, she is a mouthpiece for national political organizations," says state
Rep. Jose Javier Rodriguez, a Democrat from Miami

Our thoughts
Tom Lee: Has a nice face and looks like he could be a nice guy, too bad he is GOP.
Dana Young: Is smart and hot! Too bad she is GOP
John Legg: Was more interested in his cell phone and eating his nuts
then what was going on.
Ed Narain and  Arthenia Joyner looked bored.

And Jeff Brandes looked shady.

Peter Schorsch Reason #?: Why Florida Dems Fail

According to  Peter Schorsch at SPB it is becouse of
Reason No. 437:
"The Florida Democratic Party is sending negative mail against a Republican state Senator to a Republican super-voter." here
----------
Yet so called leading Democratic strategist Steve Schale is working for the other side. In 2014 he helped Florida GOP Chris Latvala, now he is helping Florida GOP Ray Pilon. He was also proud to knock doors and offer support for personal friend Rep. Chris Sprowls and speaks fondly of House GOP Leader Dana Young as well, among others. here

Koch Brothers Thanking Florida GOP

Koch Brothers-financed Americans for Prosperity announced it’s launching a two-week long ad campaign featuring TV, digital and mail to praise the 72 lawmakers
who the group says, “stood up for taxpayers and patients against special interests who pushed to bring Obama‘s Medicaid expansion to the Sunshine State.”

The ad to be aired in the Tampa Bay area features local Republicans Jeff Brandes, Richard Corcoran, Dana Young,
Larry Ahern, Chris Sprowls and Jamie Grant.

Florida GOP voters how is that booty feeling?

Free Lube For Florida GOP Voters

So for those incurably truculent in Tallahassee, here is the reality of what happened:
You cheated. You got caught. And now you're pouting. What's infuriating is their arrogance. These are elected officials who willfully ignored constitutional amendments passed by a vast majority of Florida voters, and now they want to blame the state Supreme Court for calling them out on it?
here

“I  believe at my core that the Florida Supreme Court has grossly overstepped its boundaries,”
 Rep. Dana Young

Sen. Tom Lee pouted that the court maybe violated his First Amendment rights and muttered darkly about hiring a
personal lawyer.

"Redistricting does not, it’s fair to say, bring out the best in people."

Registered Democrats in Florida still outnumber registered Republicans by 400,000, yet Republicans hold 17 seats in Congress to the Dems’ 10. Some might say that ain’t exactly genuine representation.
----------
Remember the class size amendment? Ignored. We passed  “Polluter Pays,” demanding that Big Sugar and Big Ag clean up their Everglades mess, in 1996. Still waiting on that one. More than 75 percent of voters said yes to conservation land acquisition last year. The Legislature’s response was to blow off the will of the people. Again.
As for Fair Districts, in 2010, Floridians approved two constitutional amendments instructing the Legislature to create districts that made geographical
and community sense.
Instead, its members cut secret deals and lied. here

For the folks that keep voting for these people,
we got your back!
