Government fulfills few Katrina promises

The job of clearing debris left by the storm remains unfinished, and has been plagued by accusations of fraud and price gouging. What a tragic picture. I was listening to C Span this morning. They were interviewing folks who lived in New Orleans. Discussions were centered around the fact that "no one is in charge, and no central body is taking charge of the rebuilding process."

And now we're going to help rebuild Lebanon, after we sent the cluster bombs to Israel to help destroy it?

And how many billions have been squandered by the cost plus and no bid contracts in Iraq's supposed reconstruction?

Isn't it time we turned to our own shores?
