PREVIEW: Here’s a look what today will look like for Donald Trump


Trump’s journey in facing 37 felony counts begins on Tuesday. Inside the building, it will look like almost every other defendant ever booked, yet it will be unlike any case ever filed in U.S. courts.

First, Trump was not “arrested.” Showing up at the courthouse is in lieu of an arrest.

Thus, Trump will be driven into the building and into the arms of the FBI, who will take him into custody. At that point, he is under arrest until released by a judge.

If Ron DeSantis becomes President, the Department of Justice Civil Rights Division would have a new task.

The Florida Governor and 2024 Republican candidate told radio host Hugh Hewitt that the Justice Department would branch out its understanding of civil rights to “do all discrimination” as part of “taking some of these agencies and making sure they’re actually doing the things that we would want.”

One of those “things,” DeSantis noted, would be going after diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.

Teachers removed across the state, their concerns for state's education system


At the beginning of this year, Governor Ron DeSantis made it his mission to reshape New College of Florida, a state liberal arts college, as part of his battle against what he calls "woke" ideology.  DeSantis appointed six conservative members to the college’s Board of Trustees and removed the school’s president to hire Former House Speaker and State Education Commissioner Richard Corcoran.  Since those changes, professors at New College have been let go, and they’re not the only ones.
