Evangelicals Wrong to Endorse Anti-Torture Statement

A conservative Christian leader says the organization known as the National Religious Campaign Against Torture isn't saying anything about torture in places like North Korea, China, and Saudi Arabia -- but instead is focusing its ire upon the U.S. and the Bush administration....more

I went to talk to three pastors in Pinellas County when the Abu Gharib pictures first were revealed. I wanted to know where they stood on torture. All three "didn't pay much attention to the war," "understood that bad things can happen" and thought "the President was a good man who got bad advice."

How sad. I hope and pray they will change their minds and speak out. The Supreme Court finally did.
