Florida INC. Taking Control

Of the nearly 1,850 bills filed this session, the Florida League of Cities has identified about 550 that affect cities in some way or another. The Florida Association of Counties is tracking 38 bills that pre-empt county rule, create unfunded mandates and carve out tax exemptions that sap projected revenues. here

When businesses don’t like what happens at home they turn to the state to get their way and pre-empt local authority.
