Last Saturday night, employees of Southern Nights perpetrated physical, psychological and emotional violence against Miss Ed and we.are.not.here.for.it. Miss Ed was *maced* without warning and forced out of the club with impaired vision. The police officer on the scene verbally harassed/insulted her, then left without writing a police report. Miss Ed had to be taken to the emergency room for care where she was further inconvenienced and harmed by hospital staff.
We (you and I) are going to Ybor on Saturday night to tell the employees and patrons of Southern Nights -and other Ybor city entertainment venues- that violence against trans lives will not and cannot be tolerated. here
